Congrats on this milestone, Michał. Can't wait to write up my summary of the year. Although I think it won't be 52 issues, I won't stress about it.

There are so many things to add to this, but I'd like to highlight one: the platform does matter. I've spent nearly two years on Substack without interacting with fellow writers and basically writing into the void. See here https://x.com/akoskm/status/1868900899030286690

My growth exploded when I started talking to other people. I got recommendations and shoutouts. Now, 80% of my new subscribers are through the Substack platform (recommendations mostly). It is also important to know who you team up with, what circle of authors you talk to, and if they are willing to interact with you as well because it's not a guaranteed thing.

Glad we connected on Substack, and I truly enjoy your writing. Wish you a successful 2025!

I agree, the platform does matter, and I'm glad I met you and other creators here. It makes a difference and makes it more like a team play.

Congrats on passing 3k 🎉

I'm looking forward to reading your summary, Akos!

Thanks! I'm one newsletter off, so this week will be a double issue so I can finish at 52. 🙂 I have too many thoughts after learning so much this year, from going from freelance to full-time and launching 3 books.

Huge congrats to 1-year newsletter anniversary!

It takes a lot of courage to start but even more dedication to continue.

I am happy we got to know each other, and all the best for year 2!

Congratulations Michał!

It's impressive to see how your newsletter has grown and the amount of work you put into things you do.

Here's for a better next year 🍾🥂

P.S.

You didn't tell me yet what are you planning for next year :P

Thank you for the support, Orel!

I still think it’s not that much work, and when it’s fun, you don’t feel the effort.

As for next year: writing the newsletter and organising courses/workshops. :)

So the gap year is now a gap 2-years? :P

Yes and no — I don’t see the second one as a gap.

The first was an intro, now it’s serious :)
