“Looking for a meaning of Live” by Viktor Frankl 4/5
This is the very first book defining psychological therapy that I’ve ever read.
It consists of two parts: the first is an important history of the author's life through Nazi death camps, and the second is focusing on defining Logotherapy, which is based on the premise that the primary motivational force of an individual is to find a meaning in life.
Horrifying stories of people in camps are told from a psychological point of view. It’s fascinating that humans are capable of surviving this kind of hell. Frankl’s purpose in life, to some extent, was to tell the story of these people and what we can learn from their condition by looking at their state of mind.
We can learn how a meaning in life is important based on experiences from the edge of existence.
