> Have you ever caught yourself lowering your standards to match the environment around you?
It's a tricky question since where we are headed from not writing code is not reading it, so the question is: if I'm reading the code now and will suggest all kinds of things that are based on my standards, will that be raising or lowering the standards of the quality that a model like Opus 5.5 wrote?
If this were a 100% human-written codebase, I could have a point, however, now that most of our codebase on a project is AI-generated, it's difficult to reason at the code level (since I didn't write the surrounding code either).

I didn't write about it, but you are right. The best models may have already raised the bar, and all the windows are in good shape.
